Distinctive Unit Insignia


Description/Blazon
A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall, consisting of a shield blazoned: Argent (Silver Gray), a keystone Gules bearing a lozenge Or charged with a laurel branch Proper. Attached above and below the shield two Black scrolls doubled and inscribed "FINANCE" above and "EXCELLENCE" below in Silver.

Symbolism
Silver gray and golden yellow are the colors traditionally associated with the Finance Corps. Gold is emblematic of honor; red symbolizes valor and sacrifice. The lozenge is adapted from the Finance Corps branch insignia while the laurel represents high achievement and excellence highlighting the unit's motto. The keystone refers to the organization's location in Pennsylvania and symbolizes strength, support and cooperation. Black denotes solidity and solvency.

The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 17 March 1994.
